Back in the year 2022, when I started offering chemistry, physics, biology... A practical class was conducted.
It was a cool afternoon after first break, my chemistry teacher Mr Emmanuel came into the class and said, " Hello everyone, please get yourself prepared, we will be having a practical class in the next thirty minutes", immediately he said that they was sound of joy in the class.
The joy was as a result of having the long anticipated dream being a reality.
I know you will be wondering , what dream on what dream it could be?
Here comes your answer.
The dream was a very desirous dream of being a science student, wearing our lab coat, mixing chemicals, drying different rodent in different solutions, .... though it was a childish reason because we didn't know the hedges that tend to be a drawback to that desire then.
Exactly 1.55pm we entered the chemistry laboratory.
And guess what?
It was of standard, I mean well equipped!
The teacher gave a theoretical introduction to us which seemed difficult to understand then.
The full practical started and it was all about ACID-BASE TITRATION. The class was an engaging one.
After the practical we were splited into four different groups which comprised of group A-D and we were told to do an ACID-BASE TITRATION which was our classwork for the term.
Fortunately I was the group leader of group B.
We started the class work. Using the pipette we got the volume of our base, we diluted our sulphuric acid and moved on.
After the practicals we were assigned different scores and my group had the highest score of 20 points.
But, wait! wait! wait! Something disastrous happened.
And guess what? Just think a moment.
A concentrated sulphuric acid poured kelvin on his face. It was an irritating damage to behold.
He was treated by the school physician and he was recovered after a number of days.
